ABOUT

Super good short films. We're a young film collective with festivals in London, Manchester, Birmingham and New York City.

Armed with a slightly mad rota of international films, a community of film enthusiasts and plenty of popcorn, Brain Wash launched to a packed out room in November 2009 in Kilburn, London. Over 12 events and 100 short films later, we're proud to have worked with the Tricycle TheatreLexi Cinema, The Westbury, Curzon Soho, Kevin Spaceyʼs Old Vic Tunnels and The Knitting Factory in Brooklyn, NYC. We're looking forward to an exciting 2011 including future screenings and collaborations.

"We have a community of creative individuals – artists, designers, film makers, photographers, and we wanted to do something as a local group that we could work towards, and that would showcase new work in cinema from London and worldwide. We feel that there is a lot of hidden talent that needs exposure and inspiration, and Brain Wash provides an inspired alternative to mainstream cinema, encouraging people to challenge popular cultural perceptions.
Young film makers are an unrepresented group of creatives, and we feel that it’s important for graduates in this sector to continue to make new work - keep producing, keep creating!"
